The Radiant Queen

The Third Gate of Descent

November 9, 2023: Venus meets with the moon in Libra

Venus descends in the morning sky, shining as Morning Star. She meets with the moon at the 5th Chakra gate.

Venus continues Her journey, meeting once again with the moon. She comes to the third gate. As we embody her journey, our bodies the night sky, we descend from the sixth chakra of knowing to the fifth chakra of expression. Down, down, from the point between our brows to our throats, our voice, our stories, our truths. And our lies. Venus comes to the third gate and meets the Gatekeeper. She must shed her necklace, Her adornment that proclaims who she is. She stands before the Gatekeeper and listens.

The Gatekeeper Speaks

How do you express what is true? Do you express what is true? Even non-expression is expression, in the same way that not choosing is making a choice. There is no way to not express. What are you expressing?

Radiant Queen, you are used to being in the limelight, to holding to your lines. You know the backstory, and know how to play your part well. You are used to embellishing the truth, to tell a good story, to yourself, to others. You know how to highlight only certain details in order to fashion a storyline that keeps to your narrative. That’s not really being dishonest, is it? Or perhaps it is. What details are left out of the stories you express?

What do you express when you think you aren’t expressing? What stories to you tell yourself, over and over, like a favorite bedtime tale? How do you reinforce the image you are trying to hold? Are you ready to release the script, to drop the image, to be what is true? Are you willing? How do you express what is true?

Being real happens when the noise has subsided and the complexities dissolve and we are experiencing ourselves just as we are in our true condition. Not the reflection, not the picture, not the echo, not the memory, not the thought, not the reaction, but the thing itself. Usually, we assume that reality is full of all kinds of sounds and noise, and we believe most of what we hear. We focus on what the noise is saying or else we are busy responding to it—defending, justifying, reacting, explaining, judging, thinking, planning, remembering. But those activities are just the reflections of what is real.

Being real is what we are, what we truly are, and we experience it in the moment. And being real doesn’t require that we experience anything in particular. It is more about the way we are being, rather than what we are being.
