Retrograde Gate of Descent

March 28, 2025: Venus meets with the moon in Pisces, still in Her retrograde phase.

The tool, the guide, and the gift:

During my journey I first saw a monkey a little above and ahead of me. When I saw it up closer it was wearing a little belt with a tiny sword tucked inside a leather scabbard. He was jumping and motioning ahead, wanting to lead me to the pond.

An ink pen flashed before me first but I sort of discarded that (not sure why). Then I imagined a long paint brush dipping into the water with the understanding that it was to paint images and write a sort of iconography, perhaps on cave walls.

Monkey intervened and directed me to look more at the pond where a huge sword was sticking out of a sort of frozen section as in the King Arthur legend. I gave devotion to receive the sword.

Then monkey directed me across the pond and led me to dive deep into the water. There I grasped something wiggly like a snake, which turned into an eel and I gave it back to the water.

My life initiation is to use my power more consistently and not turn away when I have created something that strikes a deep chord in me (and potentially others).

I think in some ways the larger image is of me and my creativity and the writing that I’m journeying with, uncovering the disturbing, the beautiful, the comedic and olden archetypes while I cut away what doesn’t sing or singe with fire.
